Rosa Alvarez is a Tax Associate who joined Thomas J. Dwyer & Associates in November 2020 to advance the firm’s work in tax preparation, client payroll, and office management. Rosa is currently earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Dominican University’s Brennan School of Business in River Forest, Illinois, where she is majoring in Accounting. Earlier in her academic career she began studying Nursing, but after her first taste of accounting coursework, where she excelled easily, she became drawn to business and accounting pursuits. She will be sitting for her CPA exam after she graduates in 2021. 

Additionally, Rosa brings over ten years of professional work experience as an Assistant Manager with PLS Financial Services, in Cicero, where she audited financial processes and managed resolution of customer disputes. Her strong work ethic also compelled her to add part-time administrative work through a local fencing company on the weekends over the last several years. 

When she is not actively working and studying, Rosa loves spending time with her family, including her three brothers and nieces, in Cicero. She enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, and especially loves watching movies across all genres.
