John R. Steger has been affiliated with the firm of Thomas J. Dwyer & Associates since 1999. John is a Certified Public Accountant; he received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University of Chicago and his Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.

John began his career with the Internal Revenue Service. He then joined a large local CPA firm, Checkers, Simon & Rosner.

John is a licensed CPA in Illinois and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Illinois CPA Society. He focuses on the preparation of tax returns, assisting with IRS and state audit and collection cases, and financial statement assessment.

John lives in LaGrange Park with his wife Donna. He has been a Chicago Cubs season ticket holder for over 20 years.
