George E. Bailly has been Of Counsel with the firm of Thomas J. Dwyer & Associates since 1999. George is an attorney and Certified Public Accountant; he received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Albany and both his Juris Doctor and L.L.M. (Taxation) from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.

George began his career as a staff accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co. He then joined a small CPA firm in Albany, New York, which was expanded to 60+ professionals, and where he became a named partner. He sold his practice and went to law school in 1996, and now focuses his practice on estate planning, estate administration, and complex tax matters.

George is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Illinois Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of both the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

George lives in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago with his wife Marcia. He enjoys reading, especially American History, and helping his wife in their garden.
