Matthew Hilowitz is an associate attorney who joined Thomas J. Dwyer & Associates in January 2021. Matthew received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo (B.S. Business) and both his Juris Doctor (with a Transactional Law concentration) and LL.M. (Taxation) from the Boston University School of Law.
Matthew began his career as a tax attorney at KPMG in the Mergers & Acquisitions and State & Local Tax groups where he focused his practice on tax return preparation and transactional tax planning, including tax due diligence, structuring, and modeling advice, provided in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, and business restructurings.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Massachusetts.
Matthew lives in Elmwood Park, Illinois with his wife Kelly (Bower) and their two dogs. He enjoys hiking, playing tennis, traveling, and visiting craft breweries.
